This is my work for Project 3. The task for this project was to animate a bouncy ball while utilizing 3 of Disney's animation principles.
Storyboard:

Animation Principle #1: Squash & Stretch
The ball squashes and stretches as it squashes against the ground and stretches while in the air to show the flexibility of the material that the ball is made of. It also more closely follows the physics while accelerating in the air and of impact when hitting a surface.
Animation Principle #2: Arc
The ball moves on it's own initially, and when it jumps across the chasm, ascends and descends in an arc to better represent the physics of the jump.

Animation Principle #3: Pose to Pose
I was unable to get the graph editor to work in Maya, so this was an extremely helpful method for animating the ball's motion. I first keyed all the major locations of the ball, and then filled in moments in between to smooth out the motion of the ball.
